Guardian Raids are unlocked upon reaching level 50 and completing the “Guardian Raid Qualification Certificate” guide quest. You can find the quest in North Vern. Overall, Lost Ark feels like a reward after so many hashed-out and rocky launches of new games. Lost Ark is an MMOARPG. To be more specific, it’s an isometric MMO with ARPG elements. Think of Diablo or Path of Exile , add in a bit of League of Legends , with the addition of trade skills, base-building (sort of, your island is a Clash Of Clans-style mini-Anime Game guide), group Raids, Chaos Dungeons, PvP Arenas, world events, sailing, a mix of classes and abilities with only a small nod at typical MMO roles (Support, Tank, etc.), and much more. Lost Ark is like a table full of food at a family event: there is something for absolutely everyone, even for the people who only eat chips and put ketchup on their Roast Dinner. How dare they.
The Gunlancer is a heavy tank class that provides some shield buffs for your party, as well as by far and large one of the most useful skills in the game: a taunt . The Gunlancer also has a powerful shield that lets you ignore a lot, if not all, attacks – even those from bosses. This means you can stick right in the face of the boss, taking heavy hits (even staggers and knock-ups) while consistently doing damage. Guardian Raids allow you to harvest a Guardian’s soul upon completing, granting you a shower of loot. You can only harvest a Guardian’s soul twice per day per character. Similar to Chaos Dungeons, it’s possible to farm Guardian Raids more than twice per day, but your subsequent clears won’t give as much loot unit the weekly reset.
A dedicated vendor can also transfer your item upgrades into a new piece of gear, saving you days of grinding.
You get two Powerpass tickets upon reaching level 50, allowing you to boost two alternate characters straight into the endgame.
You’ll want to use Upper Slash , Head Hunt, Blitz Rush, and Moonlight Sonic to create some powerhouse combos against anyone that gets hit by you. Your other abilities should provide mobility or additional damage to help you set up combos against your opponents. The only class that we don’t recommend you play is Paladin if you’re looking to play as a DPS. Paladin’s do not have competitive DPS values to be used in the endgame. However, they do make for incredible supports, just as powerful as Bards. Beyond that minor exception, every class is viable in Lost Ark. Play what looks fun to you.
You can create custom fast travel points in Lost Ark with the Bifrost system. Located directly under your minimap, Bifrost is a mechanic that lets you save a location as a fast travel point for future use. This works alongside the Song of Return, allowing you to create a series of fast travel points to streamline traversal. You can increase your Bifrost slot limit by earning Bifrost Keys from endgame activities and by obtaining the Crystalline Aura effect—Lost Ark’s subscription status.
Crit Rate of Red skills (damage/Gunlance) increased by 15%. Crit damage is increased by 50%. You cannot use your shield, and shield meter is consumed 100% times faster in Defensive Stance.
